Beach Courtyard Cottages
There are three dwellings on our property. They are in the shape of a U with the courtyard in the middle. The courtyard is a shared space with table, chairs, and a large gas barbecue. There is a long fenced private driveway which leads to the private entrances for The Bungalow and the Studio Cottage. We live in the big house so you are truly our guests.
The big house was the Kahului Railroad’s Wharf Manager’s home during the era when the railroad was in existence. This 1927 Craftsman style home was moved to Kihei from Kahului in 1964.
The Bungalow and the Studio cottage were built in 1993. The two bedroom bungalow was originally built as a starter home for part of the family. It has 10' ceilings and over 1000 square feet including an 8 foot by 32 foot wrap-around lanai. It has insulated double wall construction making it cool and quiet. The detached studio cottage was built as an art studio with lots of windows and open beam fourteen foot high ceilings.
